Dr. Lang is a Professor of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is a motor systems neuroscientist and a licensed physical therapist with expertise in the neural control of movement and in human motor learning. Her science accomplishments have earned her the title of fellow for both the American Society for NeuroRehabilitaiton (ASNR) and the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).

The overarching goal of her work is to improve rehabilitation services and outcomes for people with neurological and neurodevelopmental conditions. She has been working in the wearable movement sensor space for more than 15 years, deploying devices to capture upper limb activity in daily life. Her interdisciplinary, interactive group collaborate with engineers, scientists, and clinicians. She provides research training to PhD students, postdocs, and junior faculty members. Continuous funding from the NIH has supported her research efforts since 2005.
