Cory Holdom is a PhD student with the Neurometabolism Group from Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, The University of Queensland. He completed his honours degree in 2019 with a background in neurology and developmental biology.

Since 2018, Cory’s research has focused on identifying improved biomarkers for motor neuron diseases (MND) and understanding the patient experience. His studies have integrated clinical, laboratory and computational research techniques. In 2022, Cory was awarded the ActiGraph Digital Endpoint Accelerator Research (DEAR) grant to validate actigraphy-derived measures of gait in MND.
